What are we looking for?

We are looking for an excellent Guest Services Supervisor who will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Restaurant, Bar and Reception.

Reporting to the Guest Services Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Restaurant/Bar/Reception depending on your shift. You will maintain consistent standards of service, ensuring guest satisfaction whilst creating a working environment that supports organisational values.

You will have strong interpersonal skills and have an interest in coaching & developing our team of Guest Service Assistants .

Requirements

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Be the manager on shift during service and cover reception shifts too.
  • Be present to meet and greet customers checking requirements and passing on relevant information (e.g. fire evacuation procedure, message system, etc.).
  • Check and monitor that all beverages and food items are prepared and served according to company standards and within statutory regulations - maintaining customer satisfaction at all times.
  • Have full product knowledge of the facilities offered at the hotel.
  • Devise and train staff on promotions, including drinks and bar snacks.
  • Positively dealing with and learning from customer complaints and comments.
  • To support with initiative and commitment to the overall objectives of the business in terms of revenue, costs and teamwork.

Applicants will have good all round food service & bar skills. Being a natural people person who can build rapport with guests and staff.   You will be confident with people face-to-face, be able to sell and think on your feet.  You should enjoy the physical nature of the job, enjoy being part of a team, have a flair for customer service and take satisfaction in a job well done.
